I'm looking forward to finishing the current story once they push a server update and fix the out-of-bounds issues. At the same time, this is a very basic build of the game so it will be a while until the real gameplay starts to emerge and become more engaging. I like to play games on day one and see how they develop over time. In general it's fun to run around the world of Chain Monsters and see other people exploring as well.
I think it's really hard to build an interesting game primarily around 1v1, even more so when PvP is considered. I'm also happy to see the game defaulting to a 2v2 battle. It's good to see them using stamina rather than "PP" like in pokemon. The battles in chain monsters seem to use a combination of health, stamina, and perhaps a third energy bar of some kind that doesn't have a use yet. It's mostly a way to see the battle screen and get a feel for what it will do in the future.

This doesn't matter too much since in early alpha there are no levels and everything reheals to full after each battle anyway.
